We periodically take Snapshots of our networks.

Process Snapshot

Stop the service

1sudo systemctl stop exocored

Backup val state and reset data

1cp $HOME/.exocored/data/priv_validator_state.json $HOME/.exocored/priv_validator_state.json.backup
2exocored tendermint unsafe-reset-all --home $HOME/.exocored

Clean data folder

1rm -rf $HOME/.exocored/data

Download and unpack the snapshot

One line command to download and unpack the archive at the same time.

1curl -o - -L https://blockhunters.dev/snapshots/testnet/exocore/snapshot.tar.lz4 | lz4 -c -d - | tar -x -C $HOME/.exocored

Restore val state

1cp $HOME/.exocored/data/priv_validator_state.json.backup $HOME/.exocored/priv_validator_state.json

Restart node

1sudo systemctl restart exocored && sudo journalctl -u exocored -f
